For Chester A. Robinson, studying history has always been his emotional home-perhaps because he lived so much of it. While macro-historians look at the past from afar, micro-historians like Robinson show us what life really looked like during changing times. He has taught at several universities on areas related to public administration, policy, and leadership, and his writing aims to elevate authentic stories. His memoir Crusader is a look at life growing up Black and Catholic in the American South.
