It is comprehensive as a textbook should be but not so voluminous or stuffed with rarefied detail so as to overwhelm (unlike some other textbooks). This is an excellent book which targets its audience...It really seems to have been written with the trainee in mind. BMA Awards 2005 This is not just a textbook for psychiatrists. This is an essential book for all doctors dealing with patients with mental health problems. As a general practioner, this book occupies and deserves its valued place on my consulting room shelf.
