OverviewAgainst the backdrop of national land use policy aimed at reducing the amount of land used for settlement, land recycling is becoming increasingly important. With the conversion of military facilities and the reuse of inner-city brownfield sites, land recycling is a complex and multi-layered process that represents both an opportunity and a challenge for local authorities. Local authorities outside economic centres are particularly confronted with the challenge of inner-city brownfield sites and their reuse.
