"In a moment of time, came a special dog that would capture my heart and my soul. Her name is Zoey. I'm about to take her to Costa Rica. This would be the first time that I have ever taken a dog on one of my trips. About a month before we left, I was busy in our garden courtyard doing garden things, when out of the blue, a voice spoke to me! It was deep, it was loving. It was the voice of God. He said, ""Write your book through Zoey's eyes"". Well, I looked around and thought, OMG. What just happened? The last thing I was thinking of was writing a book. In the past I have often tried to write my memoir. Here lies the problem. I am a humorous story teller, it is the Ukranian in me! I make funny faces, constant hand motion, relishing in the telling. Yet, when I try to transfer this to paper, I could never find the flow, the Essence of Rennie. Over the years I tried and tried and finally gave up. Now God was telling me to write! Which tells me not only did He know my dilemma, He was clearly watching over me! My book is an attempt to share my journey through adversities and healings. Learning that when we choose the glass half full, we gain wisdom! So, it is with humbleness and humiliation that I share my memoir, as requested, with the Grace of God. What a surprise when I next got on the computer and began to write through the eyes of Zoey. The flow was there, the humor was there, and thus began ""Conversations With Dog""."

Author Information

This is Rennie Crossley's first book. She resides in beautiful Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. She holds a college degree in Residential Youth Care, many certificates involving working with teens. Having spent seven years in foster care herself, she embarked in a thirty plus years career fostering over 250 teen-agers. Sobriety has become Rennie's game changer in life, and her spiritual life is a continuing surprise and she continues to work on that glass half-full. Through ample adversity, and the gift of AA, leading to self study, came wisdom, peppered with a lot of humor. And always along her highway of life, trails a dog or two.
