Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationThe son of author-artists Lydia and Don Freeman, Roy started painting after he left home when he was sixteen. He later worked as a commercial fisherman, lived with the Mazatec Indigenous People in Mexico, and studied film and music at Antioch College and then turned to science. After completing undergraduate and PhD degrees in physics and geophysics, he researched and taught at the ETH in Switzerland. He left academia and worked as a coach for young adults on the autistic spectrum. When not leading multi-day hikes in the Swiss Alps, he creates books and lectures on geology and physics.
