Overview

Funny, Entertaining, and ProvocativeA Perfect Gift for Teachers, Students, and Parents Too! Did you ever wonder what teachers talk about in the teachers' lounge? It's the funny, outrageous things their students say and sometimes their parents too. Mary Crabapple is breaking the cone of silence. These funny quips are based on real classroom conversations and also the thought bubbles of what teachers wish they could say out loud from time to time. Compiled by a twenty-plus-year veteran of the New York City Public School system who chooses to remain anonymous to protect the guilty, they fall in the category of you can't make this sh*t up. This is the perfect gift for every teacher in your life, with love and appreciation for all they do every day to do their best to impart a little knowledge into the heads of the social media generation who expect them to be as entertaining as a TikTok influencer.

Reviews

There are so many times as a teacher, you have to think and say, Did I really just hear that? and the answer is always a resounding yes. Mary Crabapple has a resounding yes from me. She tells the stories, she makes us laugh and she still loves her job. Peter Ianniello, PhD, Veteran Educator, New York City A delightful, funny, and enjoyable read! As a 39-year veteran school counselor it was eye-opening to take a sneak peek into a teacher's perspective to her students' comments. Thank you, Mary Crabapple, for sharing your insights! Author Information

Mary Crabapple, (not her real name), has been an elementary school teacher in New York City for over twenty years. She has two master's degrees, two children, and two cats. She decided to write this book under a pen name because she loves her students and would never say or think the critical teacher perspectives she shares in this book. But Mary would like to give everyone a good laugh. And part of the proceeds from this book will help her buy school supplies when students eat the pencils, and she needs more money to buy them new ones.
