He is currently Professor of the Conservation Department at the Polytechnical University of Valencia (UPV), head of the paper and document group of the Heritage Conservation Institute of the UPV, and Director of the UPV professional degree programme in Heritage Conservation. His fields of research are the history of painting materials, paper conservation and conservation theory. He has published several monographs and articles on these subjects.
