Overview

The papers within this text were commissioned by the Centre for International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and were originally presented at a series of lectures at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. The authors have expertise in the area of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Among them, Ambassador Malcolm Wilkey was formerly Assistant Attorney-General of the United States before his appointments, inter alia, to the United States-Chile Arbitration (Bryan-Suarez) Commission and arbitrator in the US-Canada Free Trade Agreement. Dr. Horacio Gregera Naon is Secretary-General of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce. Professor Bernardo Cremades is President of several arbitration tribunals including the International Council for Commercial Arbitration and the Council of Maritime Arbitration in Monaco.
