The material in this synopsis reminds clinicians to be mindful of disorders that might not commonly be the primary focus of psychiatric assessment. Undoubtedly this concise text will be a useful resource for initial board review/examination preparation and has been a valuable reference in preparing for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada general psychiatry examination. The authors have succeeded in developing a text to reach a broad clinical audience, because this succinct overview is presented in a straightforward manner suitable for clinicians with varying degrees of clinical expertise.
