Unique and gorgeous in its nakedness. It is a very personal and vulnerable journey through one woman's path from despair to self-knowledge and forgiveness. I can imagine it being a solace to many who wonder how they will get from their pain and double back to a sense of self-love and wonder again. It is the kind of generous book that can accompany you through the worst of times and give you faith that you will find the way...shining through it all is a heart that wants to heal and will help others to do the same. - Ann Bradney, Director of Radical Aliveness Institute RAI, Los Angeles, CA Coming Up Unstuck is an astoundingly honest story of one woman's transformation- from heart-splitting emotions to joy and integration. Told through prose, poetry, and drawings, Lisa Yvonne cries out in pain, knocks on the door of freedom, and steps over the threshold to become her whole-self. - Sabra Bowers, Poet/Blogger/Writer, Atlanta, GA Using poetry and personal revelation, Lisa Yvonne bravely invites us into her powerful inner journey of self-discovery as she transforms pain into the joy of self-love. Along the way, she beautifully models how relationship often accelerates personal growth. - Jeff Craft (Kali Das) Founder of Atlanta School of Tantra Yoga and Creator of Ecstatic Relationship , Atlanta, GA Many women find divorce to feel unbearable-worse than death itself-an isolated journey of self-judgment, shame and disempowerment. Lisa does an amazing job of articulating these emotions-in the raw! Lisa Yvonne's vulnerability has become her strength-from which you can draw. Whether contemplating divorce, in the process, or on the other side, allow Lisa to accompany you on the return journey to empowerment, love, and life. - Lisa Inanna, Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Panama City Beach, FL At turns reflective and celebratory, Yvonne's biographical poems and brief personal essays seek to assist the reader in working through universal issues like divorce, grief, and the discovery of a renewed purpose in life. Each emotion is accompanied by elegant black-and-white images by debut illustrator Scott, with additional drawings by the author supplementing her poems. A beautifully illustrated ... collection of poetry and prose. - Kirkus Reviews

Henry Scott was born in 1966 in Savannah, Georgia. His family movedto the small town of Conyers (20 miles east of Atlanta) when he wassix weeks old, and there he grew to be a young man. At the age of18, he escaped the small town and went on a 13-year quest travelingthrough the United States, Canada, and Central Europe as a performer, director, and choreographer. As he traveled, he searched for meaningand purpose in the seemingly banal and superficial world. His quest, like most quests, ended where it had begun... back in the small townof Conyers. The last 18 years have been spent teasing apart his familyhistory, healing, and making sense of his place in the world.Doodling has been a source of sanity for Henry: the pad and the penare reliable friends and allies on his journey. His drawings are explorationsof the internal life made manifest on the page by way ofstream of consciousness drawing. The drawings reveal themselves tohim one line at a time and usually end up in unexpected and transformativeplaces.
