She enrolled in the home economics class at her high school where she received her first cookbook at the graduation ceremony for helping in the Home Economics Department. In the United States she attended New York Institute of Technology where she graduated with degrees in culinary arts and hotel restaurant management. She completed an externship at SFUZZI, an Italian restaurant, and on completion opened an offsite catering business, Such a Delight, Inc. She got the opportunity to be trained and work in the franchise industry with a savvy business owner and his family.
