Author Information

Larry Amey (B.Sc., B.Ed., M.ED., M.S.L.S., Ph.D.) has travelled widely and worked in Cnada, the U.s., England, Australia, and Nigeria. He is Associate Professor, School of Library and Information Studies, Dalhousie University. He has been a school teacher, a librarian at the American Museum of Natural History, a professor at a number of universities, and a bacteriologist/liquor taster for Seagram's Distilleries. He writes extensively in the areas of library service to children and young adults; among his many publications is The Canadian School-Housed Public Library (Dalhousie School of Library & Information Studies).
