Author Information

Dr. Huaitao Chen is a professor in veterinary pathology and a supervisor of Ph.D. students from Gansu Agricultural University. Professor Chen was born in August 1938 in Huayin, Shaanxi province. From 1979 to 1981, he was a visiting scholar in N. Bălcescu College of Agriculture and other institutions in Romania to study veterinary pathology. He has been the deputy director of the College of Veterinary Medicine of Gansu Agricultural University, the director of the Department of Veterinary Pathology, and the director of the Department of Basic Veterinary Medicine. He has presided over and participated in many National and Gansu Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, and has won more than 10 scientific and technological progress awards at provincial and ministerial levels, such as researches in horse asthma, animal pneumoconiosis, animal tumor ecology, and the histology of bactrian camels. He is the chief-in-editor for more than 20 monographs and textbooks such as veterinary pathology, diagnostic pathology of animal diseases, veterinary pathological anatomy and color atlas of animal tumors, and he has published more than 150 scientific papers.
