Author Information

Aisha is a youth author, and performer based in Norfolk, England. She is the author of 'Coleman: Art of Deception'. The first of a series regarding the day to day triumphs of a modern female detective, narrated by her brother and confidant. Aisha uses her maladaptive daydreaming diagnosis, to create the stories she tells, based on her interests and hyperfixations. Many of her future and current work also connects with ideas from friends, television and film. Aisha's performances have been situated at St George's Theatre, playing Ms Darbus (High School Musical Jr), Tiny Tim (A Christmas Carol), and Mrs Phelps (Matilda JR). Her skills as a performer have allowed her to develop a passion for storytelling via physical and mental attributes. 'I wanna express my love for writing and build awareness for unrecognised conditions such as maladaptive daydreaming. In a way, writing about my hyperfixations is therapeutic for me. Delving deep into those scenarios helps me understand myself more and getting closer to healing through my work. This ain't just a story. It's a journey. Not just Mara's, but mine too.'
