Reviews

Dr. Danquah's unique demonstration of the importance of a plant disease to political action should be of interest to historians and politicians alike, not just in Ghana but everywhere in the world. (Wayne Rasmussen, Agricultural History Society) Professor Danquah is an unusually thorough and well-trained scholar with considerable breadth in his studies of commercial farming in developing countries. His new, substantial study will enlarge much further our understanding of export-based farming and its problems in tropical nations. (Morton Rothstein, University of California at Davis)
