Petru Sandu is Associate Researcher at the Department of Public Health, College of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences of Babeș-Bolyai University, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where he works to raise awareness at local and national levels on the importance of Physical Activity policy development and to contribute to healthier communities through facilitating the development, implementation and evaluation of evidence-informed, cross-sectoral Physical Activity policies and programs. Among his research interest are physical activity policy and practice – youth and adolescents, evidence informed health policies, dance as falls prevention intervention in older adults, and research ethics. Valentina Tudisca is a Researcher of the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies of the National Research Council of Italy, where she works in the research group Social Studies on Science, Education, Communication. Among her research interests are science communication; relations between evidence and decision making; participatory didactics; representations of international migrations and migrants in media and textbooks. One of her characteristics is the cross-sectorial research path, starting with Physics – her Ph.D. subject – to arrive to the study of interconnections between science and society through a biennial Master in Science Communication at the Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati in Trieste. Adriana Valente, jurist and sociologist, is Research Director at the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies of the National Research Council of Italy and scientific responsible of the research group Social Studies on Science, Education, Communication, which deals with international and national projects aimed at understanding and enhancing relations between science, politics and society. Among her research interests are relations between evidence and decision making; education, didactics of science and participation to the scientific debate; science communication and scientific community; representations of international migrations and migrants on media and textbooks.
