OverviewMarvin Cohen was an ordinary computer programer with an interest in books on the brain and a hobby of cycling through the hills. In 1984, all this changed. Clues is the true story of Marvin's plunge into a world of conspiracies and clues. Its a story of psychological suspense, as he entered what seemed to him to be a real life horror movie. The Clues that led him into this world started with overt hostility by strangers, and progressed to threatening hints, such as a dead bird under Marvin's mailbox, or phone calls with nobody on the other end of the line, or strange call-in messages to talk shows. All the clues point to the evil ones who had targeted Marvin for destruction. The story is told from the viewpoint of the skeptical outside world, which diagnosed Marvin as a paranoid Schizophrenic, and its also told from Marvin's viewpoint as he lost his anchors in the sane, rational world, and rushed headlong into this other strange radical world. The story should interest those who wonder how we construct reality out of the clues that life affords us and how the paranoid mind distorts this process.
