Farhan Ahmed is a senior education professional with more than 17 years of hard core national and international experience in academia and the developmental sector. His areas of work include financial economics, environmental economics, energy finance, sustainable finance, climate literacy and development economics, professional trainings and research. At present, he is an Assistant Professor at Economics and Management Sciences Dept. at NED University. His major creative contribution for NED includes the development of Center of Excellence for Socio-Economic Development and Policy (CESDP) and departmental research journal. Dr. Farhan Ahmed has also privilege of winning three Best Research Awards for the year 2021, 2022 and 2023 awarded by Advanced Studies and Research Board, NEDUET. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Finance and the Managing Editor of Journal of Independent Studies & Research (JISR-MSSE) with SZABIST. At SZABIST, he significantly contributed in the devising the strategic plan of the faculty of management sciences. He has been responsible for raising the standards and quality of research in the field of management, social sciences and economics, providing the research related capacity building trainings/workshops to the faculty of management sciences and social sciences, ushering in innovative trends in journal and editorial management, creating industry-academia linkages at national and international forums. Dr. Ahmed has 70+ international publications in JCR/ABS/ABDC/Web of Science/Scopus/HEC indexed learned journals. Dr. Ahmed has been serving as a member of board of studies, board of faculty, board of advanced studies and research (BASR), think tanks and editorial boards with various other organizations. He has also worked in the capacity of Technical, Research and Data Consultant for the development sector organizations. Dr. Ahmed has had the honor of being first ever an Asian nominee for Moskowitz Prize 2022 (Significant contribution in the field of Sustainable Finance) by Kellogg School of Management, NorthWest University, US. He has also had honor of winning the Best Teacher Award 2021 and Best Published Research Award 2021 and 2022 from NED Alumni Association of Southern California (NEDAASC). He has also been a visiting professor at International Doctoral School (EIDUAL), Universidad de Almeria, Almeria, Spain and Gaziosmanpasa University, Tokat, Turkey. He has also presented papers and given invited talks nationally and internationally. Juan E. Trinidad Segovia is Full Professor of Finance at the University of Almería. His research focuses on quantitative finance and econophysics, fields in which he has published more than seventy articles in leading international journals, including Physical Review Letters, Physical Review Research, Physica A, Finance Research Letters, and Scientific Reports. His 2008 article in Physica A, cited over 350 times, is considered one of the most influential contributions to the study of memory processes in financial time series. He has supervised eight PhD dissertations—several completed by international students—and currently directs four additional doctoral projects, including one under an international co-tutelle agreement. He also collaborates regularly with international research groups and serves on the editorial boards of high-impact journals. Since 2023, he has been Editor-in-Chief of Estudios de Economía Aplicada. Fahmida Laghari , currently working as an Associate Professor at Xijing University in the School of Accounting, holds a PhD in Business Management from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Beijing, China. She has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Bahria University, Karachi, Pakistan, and a Master of Science (MS) in Management Sciences from SZABIST, Karachi, Pakistan. Since 2012, she has been engaged in teaching and research. She is a key member of the university’s core research team, where her areas of research interests include: corporate finance, financial management, corporate governance, accounting, financial economics, and business management. She is also a Supervisor and Mentor of graduate and undergraduate students. Under her supervision, four graduate students have passed their theses and graduated. She has also mentored her graduate students in the “2025 National Undergraduate Tax Risk Control Case Competition Regional Final”, where her students secured second prize. She has led and completed a university-level Bilingual Project on “Xijing University Graduate Bilingual Curriculum Construction Plan” (Xijing University Research (2021) No. 16), Project ID: 2022-YSYKC-07. In recent years, she has published two SSCI and four SCIE papers as a first author in top-tier journals. She has edited 12 papers as an associate editor and guest editor in the top SSCI journal, Frontiers of Psychology. She teaches courses such as “Application of Stata in Finance”, “Information System Analysis and Design”, “Business Data Management”, and “Business Analysis and Management”.
