OverviewClean Laundry and Self-Love is a short memoir about how the author, Corie Lynn Griego, overcame tremendous life challenges. Corielynn is a mother, wife, Air Force Veteran, and business owner of a consulting company in Gilbert, Arizona. Corie is a survivor of PTSD, rape, and childhood trauma who found healing through a program offered to Veterans and First Responders called Save A Warrior. After her husband Eric was shot in the neck in Afghanistan, Corie left the Air Force to become his full-time caregiver at just 20 years old. The devasting effects of Post-Traumatic Stress seeped into her marriage, leading her and her family down an almost decade-long path of continuous trauma that resulted in being lost, hopeless, and ready to give up on life. As a survivor of depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation, Corie is eager to spread the word about the program that helped her reclaim her life. The rate of suicide among veterans and first responders is staggering, and Corie hopes to share her story in the most vulnerable manner will allow others to know they are not alone and that they, too, are worthy of finding peace. Corie and her husband Eric have joined Save A Warrior (S.A.W) as Ambassadors in the hopes of carrying out the mission of leaving no one behind. Save A Warrior's promise is We Came Back For You, and Corie has dedicated a portion of the proceeds of this memoir in a donation to sponsoring others through the Intensive Integrated Retreat (IIR) program given freely to those who apply to Save A Warrior. Human beings are only afraid of two things, loud noises and falling down. The rest is a story! The purpose of being conscious is connection and love. The degree to which you can be, with that with which you cannot be, is the degree to which you will experience freedom, power, and full self-expression. The key to freedom is in the pain. Be with it. Feel it. Let it hurt. Then return yourself back to love. You deserve it.
