Author Information

Dr. Yunyang Ye is an assistant professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. He was an assistant professor at the University of Alabama and a scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He has more than 10 years of research experience in sustainable buildings, urban planning, and urban operations. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings. He received his B.E. and M.E. in Building Environment and Facilities Engineering and Power Engineering (HVAC) from Tongji University, and his Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. He is an Associate Editor for Science and Technology for the Built Environment and a Youth Editor for Building Simulation: An International Journal. Additionally, he serves as a scientific committee member, research committee chair, guest editor, and topical advisory panel member in several professional organizations and journals. Kurt W. Bauer was a specialist in the planning, design, and construction of municipal public works, with lifelong experience in city and regional planning and in teaching city planning to civil engineers.
