Citizens Not Slaves: The Rise of the 99%

Overview

All over the world, the 99% are slowly awakening to their enslavement by the 1% Power Elite. The internet has empowered ordinary people with more freedom to exchange information than ever before. The worldwide web could be described as a 'get out of jail card' from the constant barrage of misinformation and outright state propaganda that spews forth from the mainstream media on a daily basis. As the gap between the ultra-rich and the poor ever widens; as corporations increasingly dictate their agendas to governments who in turn clamp-down even further on their citizens basic human rights and privacy - then no wonder the world looks to be spiralling downwards into a state of total chaos. That's how things look on the surface at least; but within these pages I'll present the case that the global turmoil we experience every day is actually being controlled by unseen hands. This book also highlights positive activism; focussing on the concept of 'Citizens Not Slaves' as a growing global idea open to anyone who wishes to embrace it. Each chapter details a multitude of social-political problems; including brief historical outlines of how and why they happened. I also put forth possible solutions to those problems as well. It doesn't have to be read 'cover to cover' - feel free to delve in at any chapter and read it in any order that works for you. If you're already well versed in a particular historical background, simply skip that part and move on to any part that tweaks your interest. Simply take what you like from this book and disregard the rest. I hope the contents might also inspire you to do your own research on any topic within or lead you on to investigate something related and at the end of the day, draw your own conclusions. Throughout the following pages, I hope to convince you that we can be either free 'citizens' [pro-active] or 'slaves' [passive] by our own choosing. I will also be putting forth that 'democratic-meritocracy' is the best political model for the future that fills all the seismic gaps in the aftermath, left by every underground call for revolution. Reviews

This heartfelt work discusses how the 99% has been kept down by the 1% Global Power Elite, looking at historical examples primarily in Great Britain and Scotland, and how the 99% might change the future to level the playing field... ...The book is not just about exposing the shadow governments and rigged systems he feels operate throughout the world, though. The author encourages the reader to do something about changing things, from activism to starting a political party, and he discusses how sea-steading, or homesteading on the sea, might be part of the answer, along with ideas like democratic meritocracies and eliminating the monarchy in Britain. - The Book Review Directory
