Christian U: Freshman Year is a day-by-day memoir of a 1980's Christian university student. John Kwasny came to Oral Roberts University in 1984 from the south suburbs of Chicago as incoming Freshman. He was ready to get far from his tumultuous home and start a fresh chapter in his life. He had a lot to learn about who God is, who he was, and how to relate to other people. John also needed to find his purpose and the calling God had on his life. His Freshman year became much more than just an academic pursuit at a medium-sized Christian university, It grew this young man spiritually, emotionally, and relationally--through the ups and downs of college life.

Dr. John C. Kwasny is the Executive Ministry Director at Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Ridgeland, Mississippi. He is a Biblical counselor, a visiting professor at Reformed Theological Seminary, and Executive Director of One Story Ministries-authoring a complete discipleship curriculum for the church, home, and school (children, youth, and adults). John has written several books, including Established in the Faith, Suffering in 3-D, Pursuing a Heart of Wisdom: Counseling Teenagers Biblically, and Learn it, Love it, Live it, Teach it. He and his wife, Martie, have eight children, four sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and eleven grandchildren.
