His research interests lie in the field of regional economic development in China. He also has a parallel interest in the areas of industrial development and political economy of China. Dr Yu’s research articles have appeared in international journals such as Journal of Contemporary China; East Asia: An International Quarterly; China: An International Journal; Asian Politics & Policy and East Asian Policy.
