He was a former member of the People's Bank of China's Monetary Policy Committee. His current research interests include financial reform and fintech.Yang Yao is a Cheung-Kong Scholar and Boya Chair professor at the China Center for Economic Research (CCER) and the National School of Development (NSD), Peking University.
