He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, Nova Southeastern University and Argosy University. He has a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. He has been a private practitioner in Pembroke Pines, for almost 2 decades, he speaks Spanish fluently and he has authored 19 books on a wide variety of subjects including parenting, fatherhood marriage and divorce. He developed the Parenting for Divorce and the Children of Divorce Education, (CODE) curricula and he founded The Men's Mental Health Center.
