Author Information

Yorkshireman Richard Kent joined the Royal Tank Regiment in the late 1980s, at the end of the Cold War. At that time, 1 RTR was equipped with the Mk 11 Chieftain, and it is here that the author developed his passion for the big, smelly, dirty and unreliable beast, and began his research. Since leaving the Forces, he has maintained his interest in military history and military modelling.
