Meurtre et dévastation au Pays de Galles médiéval. Retrouvez Catrin et Rhys dans une nouvelle enquête. Juillet 1284. Le roi Edward a invité la fine fleur de la noblesse d'Angleterre, d'Irlande et d'Ecosse à Nefyn, un endroit reculé du Pays de Galles, pour participer à une Table Ronde, un tournoi digne de la légende du roi Arthur, afin de célébrer sa victoire contre les Gallois et son ascension sur le trône d'Arthur. Cependant, tous ne considèrent pas le tournoi comme une compétition amicale. Bientôt, on fait appel à Rhys et à Catrin pour mener l'enquête sur le meurtre d'un chevalier de la suite du comte de Gloucester. Et tout comme à la cour du roi Arthur, malveillance et traîtrise courent sous les apparentes bonnes intentions. Lorsque le meurtre révèle l'éventualité d'un véritable complot, il revient à Rhys et à Catrin de séparer les faits de la fiction dans Chevalier, le deuxième tome de la série Les Enquêtes de Rhys le Gallois.
