Overview

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Chelten Avenue Station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station at 315 and 318-20 West Chelten Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The concrete station structure, part of a Pennsylvania Railroad grade-separation project completed in 1918 in conjunction with electrification of the line, was designed by William Holmes Cookman. A station has been at this location since 1885. Known initially as Germantown, the 1918 station was named Chelten Avenue to avoid confusion with the Philadelphia & Reading's Germantown station.
