The author places Celia Cruz in this convulsive panorama, highlighting the complex relationship of the Cuban artist with the social climate of that time and the beginning of the prevailing politics in her country from 1959 onwards.

Especialista en propiedad intelectual, historiógrafa musical y productora, creó y lleva desde 2014 su blog Desmemoriados. Historias de la música cubana. Selecciones de textos de este sitio fueron publicadas en libros homónimos en 2016 por la editorial colombiana La Iguana Ciega, y en 2018 por la cubana Ediciones Ojalá. Autora, además, de los libros Chano Pozo. La vida (1915-1948), El Niño con su tres. Andrés Echevarría Callava, Niño Rivera, y Triunfar era la opción. 20 mujeres afrocubanas en la música del siglo XX, indistintamente con ediciones en Cuba, Colombia y Estados Unidos. Archivista e investigadora, textos suyos han sido publicados por revistas especializadas de Cuba, Estados Unidos, Colombia, Francia y España. Su labor asociada a la música se extiende a la asesoría y supervisión musical en varios filmes, series y documentales. Rosa Marquetti Torres (Havana, Cuba), has a degree in Philology from the University of Havana. A specialist in intellectual property, musical historiographer and producer, she created and has been running her blog Desmemoriados. Stories of Cuban music since 2014. Selections of texts from this site were published in books of the same name in 2016 by the Colombian publisher La Iguana Ciega, and in 2018 by the Cuban Ediciones Ojalá. An archivist and researcher, her texts have been published by specialized journals in Cuba, the United States, Colombia, France and Spain. Her work associated with music extends to musical advice and supervision in several films, series and documentaries.
