Overview

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Castleton is a train station in Castleton, Vermont served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system. Originally built by the Rutland and Whitehall Railroad in 1850, the depot is now privately owned, and is located across from the northern terminus of the Delaware and Hudson Rail Trail. Castleton replaced Fair Haven on January 2, 2010. Of the eleven Vermont stations currently served by Amtrak, Castleton was the tenth busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately seven passengers daily after service commenced.
