Overview

Do you enjoy a good ghost story? How about tales of extraterrestrials? For more than a quarter of a century, the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society has investigated ghosts, aliens, cryptids, and all manner of bizarre claims and happenings in Colorado and beyond. Combining historic and scientific research with a love of the weird and scary, they've researched and documented some of the best paranormal stories in the world. Now, Colorado's first and only forensic paranormal investigation team is proud to present this much-anticipated second volume of their collected case files. Within these pages, you'll learn not only the ghostly and paranormal stories, but the histories of the allegedly haunted locations and the methods Rocky Mountain Paranormal uses to get to the bottom of some of the world's strangest phenomena. Included in this volume: *Denver's most haunted mansion *A murder that led to ghost stories *A paranormal investigation lasting more than 15 years *An infestation of invisible jellyfish monsters *An alien sighting that led to political action *Ghosts and tommyknockers in an old mine *The haunting of Denver's first fire station *An investigation in an active casino *And many more Some of the cases are solved and others remain deep mysteries, but all are both entertaining and informative. Whether you like ghosts, aliens, monsters, history, science, or all of the above, these case files have something sure to please, and perhaps even to bring a chill to your spine.

Reviews

""The Case Files of the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society shows us what real paranormal research looks like, a testament to the search for the paranormal and the extreme passion and dedication behind it. Overall, these case files make a telling record of hauntings, history, investigation, frustration, and tantalizing, teasing mysteries."" --Craig DiLouie, author of Episode Thirteen ""Rocky Mountain Paranormal's dedication to the investigative process, coupled with their methodical and scientific approach to research, sets them apart from most other contributors to the genre."" --Jack Hanley, folklorist & historian ""A much-needed work befitting an academic treatise in an area often rife with shock value and wild speculation. This second volume of the Rocky Mountain Paranormal series is a veritable guidebook to getting grounded if you're going to pursue the paranormal on your own, or a field manual to make sure you're dealing with legitimate ghost-hunting pros or anyone that claims to be an authority of the unseen realms. A must-read for all paranormal enthusiasts."" --Jed Rowen, actor & novelist ""Rocky Mountain Paranormal's investigations are informative, intelligent, and-most importantly-honest and real. They aren't two guys running around with flashlights screaming 'ghosts.' They take a hard look at the evidence and while the results vary, their continued search for the truth does not."" --Joe Knetter, author & screenwriter

Author Information

Robert (Bob) Lewis is a Colorado-based author, editor, paranormal investigator, scholar, magician, and more. He holds degrees from the University of Colorado Denver in Biology, English, Mathematics, and Psychology, and a Master of Education from the University at Buffalo in Science and the Public. A dedicated polymath, he likes to tell people that his hobby is to collect new hobbies. He's (obviously) a member of the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society. Additionally, he's a co-host of the Do You Like Scary Movies horror podcast (www.doyoulikescarymovies.com), host of the Phobophile YouTube channel (www.phobophile.com), and is always looking for more projects to whittle away at what little time he has left for sleep. In addition to the first volume of this series, his publications include In the Woods: A Fiction Foundry Anthology and Arithmophobia: An Anthology of Mathematical Horror, both of which are available from Polymath Press. He can be found online at www.robertlewisauthor.com. Bryan Bonner is a founding member of the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society. For over two decades, Bryan has dedicated himself to the examination of a wide range of paranormal phenomena, including ghosts, poltergeists, psychics, UFOs, conspiracy theories, urban legends, and much more. Setting himself apart from others in the field, Bryan has always maintained a grounded approach, refraining from running around cemeteries at night and needlessly scaring others with imaginative tales. Instead, he meticulously tests bizarre beliefs and practices, conducts experiments and on-site investigations, and even recreates unusual events, all with the aim of uncovering the truth. Bryan's work has garnered the respect of believers and skeptics alike, while simultaneously instilling fear in fraudsters and charlatans.
