Author Information

Stephen D. Miller is Associate Provost for Information and Library Services at University of Maryland University College (UMUC), and focuses on the management of library services and resources at a distance, for UMUC, an institution of the University System of Maryland devoted to education of non-traditional students, primarily through online distance education. Stephen is also Collegiate Associate Professor in the UMUC Graduate School and regularly teaches online on the Graduate Library Research Skills course. Prior to this, he was Director of the Digital Library of Georgia at the University of Georgia Libraries, and an archivist and project manager at Duke University's Rare Book, Manuscript, and Special Collections Library. He holds an MSLS from the University of Kentucky School of Library and Information Science and a Masters of Business Administration from UMUC, USA.
