Overview

"Have a seat. Let me tell you something. I want to take you on a journey through my cancer experience. I want to offer an unfiltered and honest version of what cancer looks like and share insights that are often not discussed. I acknowledge that cancer is not a cute experience, but I would like to offer hope by sharing how it is possible to come out on the other side and find something even more beautiful than before. I want to take you down my road and let you see what they DON'T tell you. Let's prepare ourselves for this journey, as the road ahead has numerous potholes, sinkholes, and sewage. Despite all of this, let's stay strong and continue moving forward together. We will eventually reach the end of the street, and when we do, you will realize how much you have accomplished. You will look back and say to yourself, ""My God, how did you carry me down this ugly road, and I come out on the other side not looking like what I have been through?"" This realization will be a testament to your strength, and you will know that you have done a job well done . During my journey, I faced the loss of many things that I believed defined me, such as my hair, waistline, nails, and money. However, I learned that God promised his children healing, redemption, and renewal in our lives. With unwavering faith in God, I confidently trusted that he would restore what I had lost and even increase all future blessing. This promise from God inspired me to keep going, knowing I would someday reap a harvest."

Reviews

"""Cancer Ain't Cute"" is an honest, vulnerable, and well written reminder that as women, sometimes we are so busy trying to be superheroes... that we often forget to take care of ourselves. -Dr Cee Nicole Founder of Weight A Minute Clinic and Author of But the Scale Says There are numerous words that I can use to describe my dearest friend, Jeanetta, but one quality that stands out the most is loyalty. She has faced many challenges in her life, including the big storm of cancer. I remember her saying, ""This can't be my life. I'm supposed to take care of everyone else."" Despite her weakest days, she never failed to check on her family and friends. Her resilience is unmatched, and she knew in her heart that she would beat cancer. With her faith, she knew she would emerge stronger and could serve as an example of ""I conquered the storm, and so can you."" She had a team of friends and colleagues who were always available to return the love and support she had given us for many years. She embodies love, hope, and encouragement, and I am proud to celebrate the release of her new book. -Tawanna Grant Felton RN-BSN The text reflects on Jeanetta's strength and grace in the face of adversity, highlighting her determination to maintain normalcy for her sons despite her illness. It describes how she insisted on throwing a birthday party for one of her sons just one day after undergoing chemotherapy, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to ensuring her son enjoyed his special day. - Kattie Alexander Jeanetta's powerful and candid perspective on the battle with Breast Cancer is truly inspiring! Her unwavering hope and strength shine through every page, making her story a must-read for anyone seeking courage and resilience in the face of adversity. -Melanie Newman RT (R)(M) Lead Mammographer My mother's unwavering determination in the face of breast cancer was truly inspiring. Throughout her journey, she remained a loving and supportive mom, demonstrating incredible courage and selflessness to me and my brother. Watching my mom write this book for us is a powerful reminder to never give up on our dreams and to see them through to the end. - Brayden, Son of a Fighter There are numerous words that I can use to describe my dearest friend, Jeanetta, but one quality that stands out the most is loyalty.
