Overview

"Schools are closed. Playdates are banned. Mom says she can't return to work, and people around me are dying alone in their hospital beds from a strange new disease. What is happening to my world? Quaran-Teen, a teenage super villain, has put a wrench in the life that young Calib has considered ""normal"" for so long, and someone must do something about it! ""Calib and Quaran-Teen,"" an inviting picture book, cleverly addresses the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on many children around the world and offers a message of hope through an adventurous and rhythmic tale of unassuming super heroes. ""Calib and Quaran-Teen"" is a poetic picture book complete at 34 pages."

Author Information

Natori is a writer (children's books and music), speaker, educator and mother of two. She earned her English degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and her storytelling through poetry and music has landed her on stages at the renowned SxSW (South by Southwest) conference. Natori has worked as an educator in the area of English/Language Arts for the last twelve years. In this time, she has seen wonderfully written stories capture children's hearts as their sometimes silly and always intriguing characters carry out very relevant themes, fostering the perfect little epiphany moments for young readers. This is what fuels her. Through her writing, she hopes to continue contributing to the moments where children are overcome by the joy and the power of literature and choose to embrace the adventure it brings for a lifetime.
