Laureen M. 5.0 Stars! Non-stop military action! I Loved this book...it was a real page turner!! Great plot that took the reader on an extremely fast-paced and exciting race to see what's going to happen next towards a wrapped up conclusion, mostly with my heart racing!! John Mariotti, author The Chinese Conspiracy 5 Stars! You won't read a Better action novel this year. If you haven't read the Bob Burke series by William Brown, you are in for a treat. The big name writers might climb the bestsellers lists because their publishers load the sales, but for downright fun and fast-paced reading, it's had to beat William Brown's novels. Jason 5 Stars! The Merry Men Strike Again. Brown is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. Bob Burke and Co. Are hilarious. This series reminds me of The Camel Club, in the way character different backgrounds join the group and contribute to the cause. Read one and you'll be hooked. Kathryn B. 5 Stars! Great Action Thriller. Burke's Mandarin is the most Tom Clancy-like of the series. Significant portions of the story do not involve Burke at all, as they take place either at the high levels of the Chinese or US military. Still, this book explores how Ch�na conducts military and industrial espionage, is fast-paced, funny, and never boring. Highly recommended. Leslie Wolford, Five Stars! Can't wait to read the next book in the series! I couldn't put the book down. From start to finish it was funny and serious with non-stop action all the way to the end.

A native of Chicago, I received a BA from The University of Illinois in History and Russian Area studies, and a Master's in City Planning. I served as a Company Commander in the US Army in Vietnam and became active in local and regional politics. As a Vice President of the real estate subsidiary of a Fortune 500 corporation, I traveled widely in Europe, Russia, China, and the Middle East, locations which have featured in my writing.
