Buddy Goes to Arizona

Overview

Buddy the dog loves a good adventure - and this trip takes him all the way to Arizona to visit his cousin Walter and three playful boys. After a day of running and chasing balls, Buddy is ready for bed... until the coyotes start to howl. Curious, Buddy sets out into the moonlit desert, meeting a woodpecker, a snake, and an owl along the way. But will he find the coyotes? And can he find his way back home? Buddy Goes to Arizona is a heartwarming tale of friendship, curiosity, and the magic of the desert after dark - perfect for young readers and dog lovers alike. Proceeds from the sale of Buddy the Dog books will be donated to Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown, North Dakota. The Anne Carlsen Center's mission is to make the world a more inclusive place where independence is a gift to all. Gretchen Stenehjem, author of the Buddy the Dog series lives in Watford City, North Dakota. Buddy Goes to Arizona was written by Gretchen and her grandson, Charlie Stenehjem, who lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Charlie's family owned a dog, Walter, who looked identical to Buddy. Unfortunately, like Buddy, Walter passed on. The memories of both Buddy and Walter live on in the hearts of the Stenehjems along with the fun they enjoyed with their two beloved dogs.
