Brookhaven was a station stop along the Montauk Branch of the Long Island Railroad. It first opened around 1884 by the Brooklyn and Montauk Railroad and discontinued as a station stop on October 6, 1958. The station was located between the east end of South Country Road(SCR 36) and Old Stump Road (former SCR 21), and continued to show up on road maps as recently as the 1980s.
