OverviewIt takes two people with the same commitment to make a successful marriage. In Broken Vows, Patricia Fitzmaurice shares the story of how she married in the 1950s when America was a different place. Her devoutly Catholic husband supported the family while she was a stay-at-home mom. But Patricia's husband had once wanted to be a priest-he had even been in the seminary for twelve years-then he chose the vocation of husband and father instead. However, as the times changed and the children grew up, Patricia found herself wanting more from life-a career. Her husband struggled with her decision, and then he struggled with his previous decision to leave the priesthood. Both would have to make difficult choices. Broken Vows is the story of a marriage and the choices people make.
