BROKEN KITE When a client hires private eye Wendy Lu to find the client's missing sister, Wendy has to look for her in camgirl shows, massage parlors, and porn films before descending into the dark world of human trafficking. Wendy finds herself going up against an ex-Army soldier, the Russian mafia, and a former Chinese prostitute, all while dealing with unfriendly local cops who don't like her methods or her meddling in their territory. Her only ally is Michael Chen, a state police officer who works anti-trafficking cases and sparks Wendy's personal as well as professional interest.
