Overview

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Boucicaut is a station on line 8 of the Paris M tro. The station was opened on 27 July 1937 as part of the extension of line 8 from La Motte-Picquet - Grenelle to Balard. The station is named after Aristide Boucicaut, who opened Le Bon March, sometimes considered the world's first department store. His second wife assisted Louis Pasteur and founded the Boucicaut Hospital near the station. A metro station or subway station is a railway station for a rapid transit system, often known by names such as metro, underground and subway. It is often underground or elevated. At crossings of metro lines, they are multi-level.
