Overview"This paperback book features 61 unique pieces of whimsical art created by folk artist Barbee (Barbara Ann Sanders Hauenstein). This art was created on standard 4x6 inch index cards as part of the Daisy Yellow Art Index Card A Day (ICAD) creative challenge during the summer of 2017. The artist provides short, sometimes humorous, notes about each piece of art, giving insight into her creative thought process. You'll also read about her goals of creating ""happy art"" every day and most importantly, inspiring others through her blog, instructional videos and participation in various art groups, to also create happy art and love the art they create. The author urges the reader to add doodles wherever they are inspired to do so around the existing pieces and to learn to love their art! Supplies used for the index card art included fine liner pens, watercolor paint, acrylic paint, rubber stamps, ink, markers, glue, paper scraps and other art supplies." Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor Information"Barbara Ann Sanders Hauenstein lives in San Diego, California close to the Pacific Ocean, along with her husband of more than 30 years. They enjoy a wonderful family who are spread across the United States which necessitates lots of travel to keep up with things! She's lived around the world - first as an Air Force brat, then later as a Navy wife. She spent more than 40 years as a Logistician, from which she retired several years ago. She was also an entrepreneur for a decade, actively selling art at shows and festivals, and continues to contribute, swap and sell art to this day. She volunteered at an Art Guild and elementary school, teaching others to create and love their art. She's a folk artist who enjoys whimsical, mixed media ""happy art,"" which incorporates her drawings, collage and other types of creative expression. Her goal in teaching art and writing books is to make others feel good about their art and themselves. She blogs and creates art videos and discovered that spending time with art gives her a greater sense of well-being because it melts away any worries one conjures up if too idle. She hopes to inspire others to create art and, more importantly, learn to love it." Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
