Overview

FICTION BLUR The Blur attack at India Gate, Trafalgar Square, and a shopping mall in the USA mystified police and spy agencies equally; no blast, no destruction, or rubble from the falling building, only the ground around monuments littered with corpses. What happened? A brave and imaginative Kiran Hopkins, a CIA Agent, came face to face with the terrorist plots that take her across three continents to face the spiraling conspiracy of the wicked world. Across the deserts of Libya, she pulls Ruben, a war journalist and her friend from Berkeley University in California, into her Humvee. A brilliant, young scientist, Nikhil Chowdhary, a close friend of both Kiran and Ruben, discovers a deadly weapon. This spy fiction, a techno-thriller, offers an exciting, chilling tale that spans over three continents - USA, Middle East, and India and binds friends and foes in a web of conspiracy. When the mystery begins to unravel, Kiran finds herself struggling between her loyalty and her duties. The explosive thriller includes terrorist plots, media involvement, political races, government exploitation, Mafia manipulation of illegal weapon and flesh trade, treacherous and corrupt Indian politicians, deception, all topped with spy agencies from the US, Pakistan, and India. The unique thing about the novel is that social, traditional, and cultural beliefs are all within the plot with criticism of political hegemony, Swiss bank accounts, corruption, and misuse of power. The Clan of Wolf Head from the prologue throws additional mystery in the theatre of world altar. With the unexpected twists and turns, this overwhelming novel spins from the spy agency in Delhi, to Islamabad, Kabul, to Governor's mansion of Chicago, the active center of the Mafia, to the race for the White House, the sovereignty of the US throne. It will boggle reader's minds and keep them guessing until the end that culminates into a shockwave. Website: www.vbooksite.com ISBN-13: 978-0-9913926-1-2

Author Information

Vijay Shertukde is a native of Mumbai, India. He lived in close proximity to the neighborhood library, which fostered his love for detective stories at an early age. Ian Fleming (James Bond Series), Agatha Christie, Arnalkar brothers from India, and other spy novel writers were a huge inspiration and their books opened a world of intrigue and mystery. This passion coupled with childhood stories of mythological lore recited by Hindu priests added to Vijay's interests in mystery and religion. From a young age, Vijay traveled extensively with his family throughout India. These excursions fueled his interest and love for travel, history, and spiritual studies. As he grew older, he became even more interested in traveling around the world to learn about world history and geography. During college, Vijay joined the National Cadet Corps (NCC) of India. After graduating with a degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Vijay moved to the United Kingdom and then to the United States. He completed graduate studies in Electrical Engineering from the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute of New York where he studied wave theory. Although engineering was his career, writing remained his passion that led to the publication of two nonfiction books titled I Am Hindu and Seed relating to Hindu philosophy. He continues writing on cultural, traditional, and political issues stemming from Hindu philosophy. Recently, Vijay began writing another non-fiction book involving chaos in the world. His research and work inspired him to write Blur, a techno-thriller. Vijay lives in Zachary, Louisiana, with his beloved wife. Website: www.vbooksite.com
