When I was four I thought it normal for 'things' to drop out of the sky ... I thought life would always be like that. When I was eight I heard the sound of loud shouting and laughter; my parents were dancing around the room, 'The war's over.' They were wild with excitement.(p/) When I was thirteen, better times had arrived and I have many happy memories of teenage years in Birmingham where I trained as a nurse and midwife. After marrying Colin in 1961, we spent a year in the States before returning to live in Bristol. We have a son and two daughters who have provided nine grandchildren and this has meant fun-filled family celebrations over the years. I love traveling, all the creative arts and especially writing.
