Set in the heart of Texas, Black Rock is riveting family saga of greed, betrayal, and redemption. Born into one of the last of the great Independent Oil & Gas dynasties of the twentieth century, Tommy is the only son of a cold, hard, self-made oilman, Colonel Richard Ellison. Groomed from birth as his father's successor to the empire, he grows up in a life of power and privilege hiding a dark family secret from the world. After law school, he joins the family business, but his dreams of prestige and esteem are soon crushed following the untimely death of his mother, as he is forced to share the family fortune with his half-sister and her children.
