I read mysteries almost exclusively for my fiction diet, and the paranormal adds another layer to the characters and the plot. The time travel is well done: not at all hokey. Ms. Damore definitely has the writing chops to create likable characters and to move the story along. The description of early 1960s culture is believable and interesting. Great story. Fun Paranormal Cozy Mystery This is the second Stephanie Damore book I've read, and it did not disappoint. I liked Vee. She was a great, interesting character, and her ability to control electricity was cool. I liked how she was able to acclimate herself to her 1960s surroundings, despite her hairdo and attitude being from a different generation. She was likable and compassionate but tough when she needed to be. I enjoyed her interactions and blossoming relationship with Detective Michael. The cat familiars, Agatha and George, were a hoot. If you like humor, magic, and mystery, with a touch of suspense and action, then you will enjoy this book.
