Author Information

Deniz Emre proudly served for five years on active-duty as an enlisted U.S. Marine (2002-07), where he engaged in ground combat operations as an Infantryman, and subsequently served three consecutive overseas tours with the Marine Corps Embassy Security Group (2004-07) in Europe and West Africa. In 2014, Deniz led the successful expansion of a New York City based non-profit, Four Block, into Boston by building its program from the ground up by establishing key relationships with corporate and university partners, such as Fidelity, State Street Bank, Putnam and Northeastern University. As Boston's first Program Director, he managed Four Block's semester long career development course as well as the individual relationships with the student-veteran participants, ultimately leading them to secure internships and full-time positions. He is holds an MBA from Babson College - F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, and continues to be a passionate advocate for transitioning post-9/11 era veterans.
