Overview

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Jinghan railway is a railway line extending from the Chinese capital Beijing to Hankou in Hubei province that was finished in 1905. Now it is part of the Jingguang Railway. Across the Yangtze river in Wuchang was another line, the Canton - Hankou Railway that ran from Canton to Wuchang. Before the First Chang River Bridge was built in 1957, linking the two railways, it could take up to an entire day to transport railcars across the Yangtse River by barge to the other line.
