Der zentrale Teil mit silurischen und devonischen Sedimentstrukturen, der sich zwischen Suchomasty und Prag hinzieht, wird oft allein als Barrandium angesehen, da er wegen seiner geowissenschaftlich-kulturell gepr gten Erforschungsgeschichte im Zentrum der Wahrnehmung steht.
