Overview

Yogesh and Aesha, two friends that I met in a meditation silent retreat in India, have planned to go to the Amazon jungle to partake in ayahuasca ceremonies. Although my knowledge of shamanism is still rudimentary, I have heard of ayahuasca, the famous ""vine of the dead,"" a plant-based concoction that radically alters the state of consciousness, also known as ""the plant which opens the door to the spirit world"". Seeking spiritual growth, I decide to accompany my friends. I am not aware, however, that the spirits of the forest and that of ayahuasca were going to take me on the most intense, most terrifying, and yet, the most transformational experience of my life.
