OverviewIt is the summer of 1951 in Tucson Arizona. Thirteen-year-old Kaitlyn has just lost her mother. She is being sent to a small rural town in South Carolina to live with an elderly aunt that she has never met. Her mother was the only family she ever knew. She is being torn from the only home she ever knew and loved. While grieving the loss of her mother, Kaitlyn attempts to cope with her new strange surroundings and culture shock.
